Alison Aldred, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Alison Aldred is a native Chicagoan who has spent time in the Delta, the Driftless and many points farther West. In Spokane since 2014, she is a graduate of Therapeutic Connections School of Massage and is committed to the unique experience of bodywork for each client, each session.

Alison attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, completing studies in African-American History and Archival Studies. She has professional experience in library science and patient education in a hospital setting and has worked to advocate on behalf of nurses and healthcare workers under AFT Healthcare NW, AFL-CIO.

A dedicated practitioner of Swedish-inspired therapeutic massage, Alison's approach combines a deep respect for the mechanisms of anatomy and physiology with a responsive touch that encourages the body to relax, renew and reveal it's innate ability to heal. She began her massage career in a medical setting and continues to provide massage at Selkirk Neurology as part of a comprehensive care plan for clients with complex medical histories. She has an active interest in current research studying the benefits of massage as a dynamic manual therapy in complementary and integrative care and is a graduate of the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Hospital Based Massage Therapy program in Rochester, MN.

Alison is licensed by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has experience working with a broad range of client needs, including chronic pain and migraine. She has completed CEU's in Pain Management and Gerontology and in her spare time is dedicated to serving populations that struggle with access to wellness.
