Lyda Nicodemus, DNP, FNP-C
Neurology Nurse Practitioner
Lyda was born and raised in the Spokane region and is a proud member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors in 2005 from Washington State University’s College of Nursing and joined Selkirk Neurology after enjoying a long nursing career.
She has served as an Adult Intensive Care Unit RN at a local hospital and has experience in both Med/Surg critical care and serving the clinical needs for patients with advanced neurological conditions. It was in this role that she began to recognize the importance of multidisciplinary involvement in the providing of patient care and lead her to pursue training as a Nurse Practitioner.
Lyda graduated in 2019 with her DNP-FNP and Nursing Leadership Certificate and is certified via the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She prides herself on holding fast to a well-honed commitment to fostering genuine compassion with her patients and striving to be a life-long learner. She advances this daily in her work alongside the Selkirk Neurology Movement Disorder team and is currently accepting new patients.
Her 'non-clinical' duties include being a busy “sports-mom” to two active kiddos and a “sports-wife” to her elementary school educator husband who also serves as the head football coach! She enjoys outdoor activities on the water or in the snow, traveling with her family, and baking.
She is excited to join the Selkirk Neurology Team and looks forward to meeting all the patients and families cared for at Selkirk Neurology.
