Megan Foster, ARNP, PMHNP
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Megan joins Selkirk Neurology with 11 years of dynamic nursing experience in oncology, hospice and chronic illness. She is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner working with Selkirk patients to develop patient-centered treatment plans that promote better psychological well-being and cognitive function. Her philosophy of care is driven by a whole-person approach to mental health that aims to identify both strengths and areas for growth within the person’s individual goals. She is committed to the growing research that looks to translate the intersect of neuropsychiatry and integrative health into care models focused on the interaction of neurobiological and psychological–social factors.
Megan graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor of science in nursing and received her master of science and nurse practitioner from Walden University. She has recently completed a continuing education in psychotherapy with the Institute of Psychotherapy and Meditation, a joint effort of the Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard’s Medical School.
She offers patient and care giver psychotherapy on site as well as through telehealth.
